Mini Prawn Cocktails


This is a cheeky way to serve prawn cocktails as a little snack or appetiser. They look good and don’t cost the earth to serve. You can even get the shot glasses in a pound shop! My advice, make sure there is some chilled white wine or fizz on hand to enjoy them with!

  • 1 bag or Prawns
  • Salad leaves
  • Cucumber
  • Tomato Ketchup
  • Mayonnaise
  • Slug of Whisky


  • Plastic Shot Glasses
  • Mini Forks or Spoon


  1. Defrost and rinse the prawns
  2. Shred the salad leaves into small pieces
  3. Chop the cucumber into small pieces
  4. Mix the ketchup, mayonnaise and slug of whiskey to make a pink sauce
  5. Put the salad leaves, cucumber, prawns and sauce into the shot glasses
  6. Dress with a mini slice of lemon and a pinch of paprika if you fancy being a bit posher
