No one cared that they were invited to a party in Kent in the middle of August, where the sun was shining yet they weren’t being offered a BBQ! Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE BBQs and I LOVE preparing for them but for this party, I wanted to do things a little differently!
This stunning Jacket Potato Oven was a cheeky purchase made just before Christmas last year and so far, it has made a few outings at food festivals and the Kent County Show. However, this event wasn’t a commercial one, it was one for my long suffering business partner and partner in crime Sue Smith’s birthday. The oven was set away from the seating area and chugged away quite happily as more Pimms were poured and as everything else had been prepared in advance, I wasn’t running around juggling burgers, chicken breasts while avoiding four little dogs that were also on the guest list.
- Fresh Chilli – veggie option for the inlaws!
- Homemade Coleslaw
A simple, yet tasty way to feed a hungry mob and I wasn’t sweating from standing in front of the BBQ all afternoon!
